China Imports Rice?

    Recently, China gave everyone a big surprise by buying  rice.  Some analysts say that China's rice stockpiles might not be as high as they thought.  Because more rice is being bought, the price of rice might go up.  Usually, when the price of rice goes up so does the price of other grains.  Some U.S. rice farmers want Chinese authorities to permit U.S. rice to be sold in China.  China wants more rice, but that leaves the Global Rice Market unsettled.
